Did everything to get it done with out having to wait

I spoke with Bob because I was concerned with the $500 quote that Rick had given me to replace the TXV since our new A/C unit wasn't keeping the house cool enough and running all night. I thought that figure was a bit high but Bob explained that the TXV wasn't really covered by the warranty and that he doesn't charge for that just to keep the customer happy and that the cost could be UP TO $500. I understood and shared that it was a financial burden. He said that $500 was almost all labor and that it could take 1/2 to ALL day to complete the replacement. That sounded reasonable to me and he said he would try to keep the price down. I appreciated that. Well the TXV got replaced yesterday. They arrived at ~ 1:45 and left about 4:25. And charged $500 (less the $20 postcard I had received from Bob and Brenda - thank you.) So ~2 3/4 hours of labor came out to be a charge of $480! I'm glad Bob was successful in keeping the cost down for us?
